Singles draw has been revealed for the first Grand Slam of the season, the Australian Open, taking place in Melbourne, from January 18 to 31. 128 players will compete during the fourteen days of the hard court Major event. Sergiy will challenge no.15 seed David Goffin of Belgium in the opening round, in their second career meeting (0-1 H2H).
It will be Stako’s eighth appearance at Melbourne Park. His best result so far, in both singles and doubles, is third round in 2011/2013.
Sergiy and his partner Simone Bolelli suffered a close 2-6, 7-6 (3), 6-10 quarter-final defeat to third-seeded duo of Feliciano Lopez and Marc Lopez on Wednesday.
