Stako broke twice in the opening set to take it 6-2.
The Kiev native made a crucial break in the 11th game of the second set and served it out 7-5.

No.6 seed Sergiy rallied from behind once again, when he recorded a 6-7 (5), 7-5, 6-0 victory over third-seeded Czech Jiri Vesely to reach the final at the Open D'Orleans challenger on Saturday. The match lasted two hours and two minutes.
After the players had split the first two sets, Stako stormed through the third with a triple break for 6-0. Vesely won just 22% of his first and 0% of his second service points in the decider. Sixth seed at the Open D`Orleans, Sergiy, came back from a set down to beat world no.210 Tim Puetz 6-7 (3), 6-1, 6-3 in quarter-final action on Friday.
Stako won 83% of his first service points, broke four times from six opportunities and saved both break points he faced to progress into the last four in one hour and 50 minutes.
Games went with serve in the first set. The German won a tie-breaker 7-3. Sergiy responded strongly, breaking twice in both second and third sets to seal the win in the first career meeting between the two.

No.6 seed Sergiy advanced into the Open D'Orleans last eight with a 6-3, 6-1 win over world no.116 Michael Berrer in just 52 minutes on Wednesday.

Sergiy Stakhovsky had put his side into a 1-0 lead against Belgium after coming from a set down to beat Steve Darcis before David Goffin put a dent into the Ukrainian hopes of qualifying for the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas World Group for the first time in its history.
Stakhovsky, who is leading his country in this tie due to the absence of Alexandr Dolgopolov, got off to a slow start, as his tactic of coming into the net at every available opportunity was not paying dividends. Ukraine hosts Belgium in Tallinn, Estonia, for their Davis Cup by BNP Paribas World Group play-off tie (September 12-14). They will attempt to reach the World Group for the first time.
The neutral venue was proposed by the Ukrainian Tennis Federation, who retained choice of ground after the tie was unable to be staged in Ukraine because of security issues.

Stako was broken once in the first set and twice in the second, while failing to convert any of his four chances for break.
