ATP Kremlin Cup: Youzhny upsets Stako

Sergiy's campaign at the Kremlin Cup in Moscow is over as he lost the battle for a place in the semifinal to Mikhail Youzhny (3rd seed and eventual champion) today. The match lasted 1 hour and 12 minutes to snap Stako's 5 match winning streak.

At the post-match press conference Youzhny admitted that "it wasn’t an easy match," and added: "Sergiy is a very good player who knows how to play indoors. Besides, he won a tournament in Zagreb. In the second set I led 3-0, but an advantage was unsteady. Furthermore, it’s always difficult to play in Moscow and it doesn’t matter whom I play. It’s my home and there are always a lot of my friends and relatives.”
